tsunami new year and some complaints

the death toll for the tsunami tragedy has increased again! sigh. now there are even dead and missing singaporeans. some new year it'll be huh... talking about new year, do you think it's right we have such a super grand countdown celebration when there's a major tragedy happening close by? in my mind i see this (sadistic) image of young singaporeans partying by the sentosa beach and then... a huge tidal wave washes them all away! god then says show some respect dudes! haha. sorry. just a thought. oh back to the tsunami topic, im glad to see that there are still people in the world that still cares! impressed! :) everyone is trying their best to donate money, clothes, food... news also mentioned that funds have been raised at such an amazing, impressive rate! red cross collected 2 million sing bucks!! " there can be miracles when you believe " :)

hey speaking of miracles, it'll be a miracle if politicians grow a sensitive and understanding side! yea well cuz it's now TEN PM and im supposed to be home already BUT because our beautiful talented perfectionist politicians have to come practice karaoke for the countdown, i am still stuck here!!! argh!! ANNOYING!!!!!! they came late (they came at 8.30!!), took over our poor residents KTV time (all our KTV aunties are supposed to have a session today but cancelled cuz of the MP and her friends) and now they are ignoring the fact that i end work at 9.30! i havent eat DINNER people... grr... and i get irritated when im hungry...

no wonder the nuts uncle hate the government so much... they're so inconsiderate. why is that those with "power" usually think that they deserve to do everything in this life based on what they want?

i just saw on yahoo news that the death toll has increased to 40 000 people. it's such a horrible horrible tragedy. and the worse part is that it's not that far away from home. can you imagine if with God's will, the tsunami hits us here??! singapore will probably just disappear or something. my mother was telling me that if it were to hit singapore she will probably be one of the first to go, since she's working in sentosa. what a scary thought! i just feel extremely lucky to be here.

but then i cant help feeling really really sad. especially when i saw the news. did anyone saw what's left of phi phi island?!! so unreal! phi phi was my ultimate favourite island and now the whole place just looks so weird and nothing like what i see in my mind and our photos. btw did you guys see the dead bodies shown on the news? there was definitely a lump in my throat at that moment man..... the bodies were stiff. some of them looked like there were trying to cover themselves with their arms. the worst are the tiny bodies of the children, even toddlers! *gulp*

but everyone! on the bright side, this happened in the afternoon. proof that god still loves us? cuz can you imagine if this whole thing takes place at night when everyone's asleep?

let's all pray that things will get better for everyone in all the affected countries. because in life everything happens for a reason...

The Superly Bored Bug

what an experience!

waah did you know what happen today at work?? this angry middle aged man came in early this morning then made a lot of noise. he was kinda scolding me about various things which i didnt understand. then he gave me this letter about the government cancelling some rebate for some house upgrade thingy. he kinda demanded i translate it to simple english and then threw me ANOTHER letter that stated he had to pay the full amount for the upgrading thing. it was pretty confusing cuz i didnt exactly know what he wanted. he kept pointing out that he had an illness (by waving this doctor's note at my face) and said that the government is trying to cheat him. yea i was a bit scared at first (i was shaking dudeee!!) cuz he was extremely fed up and insisted i was working for the government. then later i saw the doctor's note and ho ho ho guess what angry middle aged man is actually suffering from mental illness. DOH. no wonder lahhh! haha yea but in the end i think i figured out what he wanted, he was just there to complain why is it a "sick" man like himself, someone who cannot work and constantly needs treatment, have to pay the full amount for the house upgrading thing. how can he afford it? i guess he had a good reason to be angry but alamak uncle, you're screaming at the wrong person lah. but anyway it was quite a good challenge cuz i had to try so hard to convince him that im not the government (i think he still dun believen me tho). man i wonder what the government did to him previously that this guy is so angry?!! maybe the government is the one that cause him to become "depressed and have pyschotic symptoms" (it's really written in the note!)? oh crap tomorrow gonna have another big challenge. cuz i told him to come back tomorrow when my manager is around but then just found out she will be on leave tomorrow!

everyday is an exciting and challenging day at blnl ! :)

Guess what all... sometime i think some pple jus dun really appreciate their life... today i jus got a Suicidal call ... this guy's got some marriage problem and he threathen to jump... darn freaked me out dude... and i called the police..what a big hoo ha....

hey... seems to have some affinality with this "DREAMS" word.. jus completed the 4th dec DREAMS Exhibition event .. * a big thank you to all who have helped ...* , jus heard the taufik verison of i dream on the radio... now i am dreaming of having a good lunch.. haiz.. jus felt so sleepy today... so dreamy...

yo everyone! guess where i am? in the office! *fake whee* ok just finished doing needs assesment (i.e. door to door survey of boon lay residents) with who else but my "favourite" BL kids!! wah nearly dieded. now i know why maeve doesnt recruit them to do this stuff. haha.

wah you know, spending more time with em i have come to a conclusion that singaporean kids arent as innocent as those in less developed countries. while it's good that they are more informative , to me it seems like they lose their "cuteness" faster.

anyway these kepo kids... cannot believe what they ask! "sister sister you dont have boyfriend ah?" "sister sister why dont you find one?" later on when we just finished talking to this resident "sister sister why dont you marry him (the young guy resident)?" "ya! ya! then you can experiment *super loud laughter*" O_O wah i nearly did a double flip! by "experiment" i think they meant er.. sex? O_O;;;

well going home now. super tired and quite freaky staying in this office all alone!
